
Hirotsune Tashima
田島弘庸は、ニューヨーク州アルフレッド大学にて美術学修士号(MFA)を、大阪芸術大学にて美術学士号(BFA)を取得。1999年より、アリゾナ州ツーソンにあるピマ・カレッジにて陶芸学科の責任者を務め、教育と創作の両面に取り組んでいる。
これまでに、ポロック=クラスナー財団、アリゾナ州芸術委員会、ツーソン/ピマ芸術評議会、フェニックス美術館、ロータリー インターナショナル、日本政府などから、数多くの助成金を獲得してきた。
ニューヨークや東京をはじめ、国内外で27回を超える個展を開催。さらに、ケンタッキー州立美術デザイン博物館での「アジア系アメリカ人の陶芸展」や、ニューヨーク州エバーソン美術館での「セラミック・ナショナル」、NCECA主催の「クレイ・ナショナル(1997年、2004年、2017年)」など、160以上のグループ展に参加している。
公共アートの分野にも精力的に関わり、フェニックス・スカイハーバー国際空港やフェニックス・コンベンションセンターなどに作品が設置された。
その作品は、アジア、ニュージーランド、ヨーロッパの公私立美術館に収蔵されており、故デヴィッド・ボウイのコレクションにも名を連ねている。
